ITR is a rural theatre company dedicated to providing people in the former Osgoode and Rideau Townships and surrounding areas with an opportunity to indulge their interests in amateur theatre. Our main activities are geared towards a spring and fall production of 2 and 3 act plays, that are usually comedy, farce or melodrama. From time to time, we also do additional shorter productions at various locations throughout the community. We welcome anyone and everyone who shares our love of theatre, no matter what your interest or level of past experience. To find out more about the ITR Theatre group - it's activities, history, and newsletter - check out the About ITR. If you are interested in auditioning for future plays, working behind the scenes or providing support in any way, check out our Auditions Page and our Volunteers Page.
Valentine's Afternoon Tea and Show
This year, ITR is going to do something a little different for Valentine's Day. We are going to be holding an Afternoon Tea at Vibration Studios (5488 Osgoode Main St.) on February 10 and 17, 2018. We have selected Norm Foster's two act play Wrong for Each Other to entertain you.
“A chance meeting in a restaurant, after four years apart, sends a couple flashing back through the highs and lows of their courtship and marriage. It is a hilarious and often heart-breaking look at the rollercoaster ride of a relationship.”
Tickets are $28 per person (which includes the afternoon tea) and will go on sale on January 8, 2018
online on our Tickets page or by calling 613-800-1165.
There are only 50 tickets available for each of the 2 shows.
As always for our Valentine's Plays proceeds will go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Stay tuned for more details.
by Agatha Christie, adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon
Director: Sophie Hall Asst. Director: Helen Visbach
An announcement in the local paper states the time and place when a murder is to occur in Miss Blacklock's Victorian house. The victim is not one of the house's several occupants, but an unexpected and unknown visitor. What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death, a determined Inspector grimly following the twists and turns, and Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution at some risk to herself in a dramatic confrontation just before the final curtain.
ITR will be performing this whodunit in the spring of 2018 on April 20th and 21st and 27th - 29th. Tickets will go on sale March 5th 2018.
