Three friends, Doris, Lucille, and Ida, have become widows within the past few years. They meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands’ graves. One day they bump into their butcher, Sam, who is visiting his deceased wife's grave at the cemetery. Ida and Sam fall for each other, but the budding romance comes under fire from some unexpected sources.
